Welcome to the Gender Equality Library. The library brings together a collection of recent reports around gender equality and women’s empowerment aimed at the six Eastern Partnership countries: Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, the Repubic of Moldova, and Ukraine. In line with the EU’s Action Plan on Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment in External Relations (GAP III), the publications cover areas such as: gender-based violence; equal participation and leadership; economic and social rights; sexual and reproductive health and rights; green transition and the digital transformation; women, peace and the security agenda and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on women and girls. The publications have been produced and funded by various international organisations and stakeholders. The Gender Equality Library is developed in the framework of the EU4Gender Equality: Reform Helpdesk project funded by the European Union. The views expressed in the publications do not necessarily reflect those of the European Union.
This website is managed by the EU-funded Regional Communication Programme for the Eastern Neighbourhood ('EU NEIGHBOURS east’), which complements and supports the communication of the Delegations of the European Union in the Eastern partner countries, and works under the guidance of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, and the European External Action Service. EU NEIGHBOURS east is implemented by a B&S Europe-led consortium. It is part of the larger Neighbourhood Communication Programme (2020-2024) for the EU's Eastern and Southern Neighbourhood, which also includes 'EU NEIGHBOURS south’ project that runs the EU Neighbours portal.
