Omnibus Report. Majority of Ukrainians Satisfied with Gender Equality in 2025, up from 54% in 2020

This omnibus report presents findings from Info Sapiens’ February 2025 national omnibus survey, conducted via telephone interviews with 1,000 respondents aged 16 and older across government-controlled areas of Ukraine. The survey reveals that 64% of Ukrainians are satisfied with gender equality in the country, an increase from 54% in 2020. Notably, adolescents aged 16-19 are less satisfied, with 31% expressing dissatisfaction, particularly among girls.​

The study also indicates a shift towards more equitable contributions by women to family finances and household duties compared to data from February 2022. Couples reporting equal sharing of financial and domestic responsibilities tend to have higher relationship satisfaction.

Additionally, there is an overall increase in satisfaction with partnerships and sexual life over the past three years, potentially influenced by improved gender equality and the search for comfort in relationships during wartime. Despite these positive trends, women report lower satisfaction with partnerships, likely due to persistent gender inequalities, though satisfaction with sexual life is comparable between genders.​

These findings underscore the evolving perceptions of gender roles in Ukraine and highlight areas where further progress is needed to achieve true equality.
