Gender Equality Index 2024 – Stagnation in the fight for gender equality: What is stopping us from moving forward?


The study presents an in-depth evaluation of gender equality across key domains, including labour market participation, education, health, political representation, and access to resources. Using robust statistical methodologies, the study benchmarks Moldova’s progress against international standards and identifies persistent gaps and challenges. The findings reveal disparities in pay equity, leadership roles, and access to services, underscoring the need for comprehensive policy interventions. The report proposes targeted actions to mainstream gender equality in public and private sectors, fostering equitable development and social cohesion.
