Country Gender Profile Ukraine

This Country Gender Profile (CGP) analyses the situation of gender equality in Ukraine as of August 2021. It provides an account of the country’s legal and political context related to gender equality, and identifies key gender discrepancies, barriers and challenges, focusing on the thematic areas of the EU Gender Action Plan III (GAP III). It collects available gender statistics and sex-disaggregated data in all of these thematic areas, identifies key entry points and opportunities for gender interventions, and provides an overview of specific conflict-related and pandemic-related gender. It also proposes recommendations for the EU Delegation in terms of developing a Country-Level Implementation Plan (CLIP) to support the Government of Ukraine and civil society to advance gender equality.

This document was produced in the framework of the EU4 Gender Equality Reform Helpdesk project, funded by the European Union and implemented by Niras.
