This publication, prepared by the Public Defender of Georgia in collaboration with UN Women, reviews the international and regional standards for combating violence and discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. It assesses Georgia’s compliance with these standards and highlights the challenges faced by LGBT+ individuals in the country. The document serves as a resource for policymakers, human rights defenders, and civil society organisations working towards equality and non-discrimination.
