Mirzali is a young professional studying Industrial Engineering at Bakı Mühəndislik Universiteti (Baku Engineering University). He currently works as a project manager at an IT company and is also the coordinator of a youth entrepreneurship programme in Azerbaijan. Mirzali is passionate about becoming an innovation expert in the future and has been involved in various initiatives supported and funded by the European Union since the beginning of his academic career. Mirzali aims to promote European values in his country through the Young European Ambassadors’ initiative, supporting young people.

Mehin is a secondary school student and has participated in many debate programs, including Model United Nations and the ‘European Youth Parliament’ peer­-to-peer educational program. She is an official member of the EYP Azer­baijan and was part of the delegation of Azerbaijan in the 96th International Se­ssion of the EYP – Riga 2022. In addition to this, she is a member of the Interna­tional Relations and Diplomacy Committee established by the National Council of Youth Organisations of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Mehdi is interested in politics, economics and diplomacy and is currently studying for a Bachelor in Finance at Azərbaycan Dövlət İqtisad Universiteti (Azerbaijan State University of Economics). He considers it a great honour to be a Young European Ambassador and is looking forward to significantly contributing to the development of a network among young people all around Europe, instilling the values of European democracy and maintaining a sense of unity in the civic public. Masud is a Finance graduate of the International School of Economics of the Azərbaycan Dövlət İqtisad Universiteti (Azerbaijan State University of Economics). He specialises in Finance & Investment and Business Analytics and is also a graduate of the Business&Management double-degree program at the IAE School of Management at Université de Montpellier (Montpellier University) in France. His hobbies are mainly cinema and intellectual competitions. He is very much looking forward to being a part of the Young European Ambassadors’ initiative and the new challenges and opportunities this will bring.

Maleyka is currently studying to Teach English Language. In the future, she aims to work and participate in a professional and civic environment that will benefit the people around her, young people, and children in particular. Her ultimate goal is to be the best at anything and everything she pursues, and she strongly believes the Young European Ambassadors’ initiative will enable her to achieve this.

Madina is studying Law at Bakı Dövlət Universiteti (Baku State University) and is an IBDP graduate of the 2020 class. She has participated in numerous events organised by the European Youth Parliament, the Non-Aligned Movement and Model United Nations. Her interests mainly focus on international law, European Union law and diplomatic law. She is also a member of the European Law Students’ Association (ELSA) and currently represents Azerbaijan in the Helga Pederson Moot Court Competition. She plans to promote values and projects of EU institutions, and cooperation related to spheres of environmental protection, education, culture and youth opportunities.

Leyla is presently in her final year pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with a major in State and Public Affairs at Baku State University. From 2020 to 2024, she has actively contributed to various organisations in both the public and private sectors. Currently appointed as the Sustainable Development Guardian by the Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Azerbaijan Republic, Leyla also holds a prominent role as an active member of the ICYF – ERC.

Leyla is studying Law at Bakı Dövlət Universiteti (Baku State University) and is also a student of the SABAH Group. Leyla was responsible for cases at the Moot Court Competition team at ELSA Azerbaijan. During this time, she wrote cases related to international and national law and communicated successfully with a variety of judges. She loves competition and learning new things and has achieved some of her life goals already, by participating in more than 20 competitions. Leyla hopes to do more useful work as a Young European Ambassador and is very enthusiastic about the opportunities available to her.

Lamiyya is studying for a Bachelor degree in the Faculty of Law at Bakı Dövlət Universiteti (Baku State University). Lamiyya feels that it was always important for her to consolidate her theoretical knowledge in practice, and she has therefore been participating in a variety of spheres as a volunteer. Moreover, meeting new people and making friends was always her priority, hence her involvement in different national and international organisations and communities. Khagan is a senior law student at the Azərbaycan Respublikası Prezidenti Yanında Dövlət İdarəçilik Akademiyası (The Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan). Khagan enjoyed his role as a social media director at Elsa Azerbaijan in 2021-2022. However, his social activity in the University started at the APA law club under Student Youth Organisation in 2020, and since then, Khagan has held different positions in areas such as public relations and academy activities. Presently, he is a deputy chairman at the Student Scientific Society of the Academy of Public Administration, as well as a Young European Ambassador.

Kanan is an International Economist at Azerbaijan Airlines – a young professional residing in Baku. Kanan attained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in International Economic Relations at the Azərbaycan Dövlət İqtisad Universiteti (Azerbaijan State University of Economics). Kanan has been involved in a variety of social activities and events, participated in many conferences, and coordinated faculty-student organisations such as the Economist Student’s Support Organisation. He is highly interested in music, sports, culture, and languages. He is a double winner of the Erasmus+ Student Exchange Program.

Javid is currently working towards a Bachelor degree at the Faculty of Law at “ADA”Universiteti (“ADA” University). He is also working at the Non-Aligned Movement Youth Organisation in Baku, having also worked in different public and private institutions in Azerbaijan, gained a variety of social skills. He is very enthusiastic about music and diplomacy. His motto is “docendo discimus” (“by teaching, we learn”).

Ismayil is a senior ISE student majoring in Finance at the Azərbaycan Dövlət İqtisad Universiteti (Azerbaijan State University of Economics). He has project management skills from previous NGO experience. He participated in our intellectual competition for 2 years consequently. In his first participation, he achieved third place, but on the second try, was able to win the trophy. He thinks the connection between young, motivated and talented people is the main path to creating value and having an impact on society.

Ilkin graduated having studied Strategic Management at Azərbaycan Dövlət Neft və Sənaye Universiteti (Azerbaijan State University of Oil and Industry).
