Khalid Alakbarov received his bachelor’s degree in international relations from Baku State University in 2021. In November 2022, he joined the YEA initiative. Khalid completed an internship at the Topchubashov Center think tank. Khalid thinks that the most important points to pay attention to now are the development of education, critical thinking in people and mutual relations. These are the reasons why he decided to join the Young European Ambassadors initiative.

Yunis is interested in music and he had his first professional music studio experience at the age of 12 where he was busy shooting music videos. He has been involved in many youth projects in Lankaran. As a technology enthusiast, he constantly develops his skills in Photography, Video Editing, and Photoshop. He enjoys discussions on Science, Technology and Space, and Psychology. He believes the YEA initiative gives her opportunities to bring fundamental changes and improve reality. Yunis wants to use her strengths and ideas for improvement.

Alishir is a final year student of bachelor of Turkish World of Economics (TUDIFAK) faculty at Azerbaijan State Economic University. He is the founder of the Modern Azerbaijani Youth organization. Alishir has been working with people from disadvantaged groups in Azerbaijan and he is the creator of the “46+1” community. Alisir is willing to contribute his time and skills towards making the world a better place to live.

Zumrud is a third-year student at the Azerbaijani University of Languages majoring in translation(Russian – English languages). She is a Presidential Scholarship holder. She is an active member of EYP Azerbaijan and the AzMUN Program. She was an airport team volunteer at the Formula 1 Azerbaijan Grand Prix 2022. Being a member of the Student’s Scientific Society, Zumrud has been involved in a number of Republican Scientific Conferences where she’s got the opportunity to present her research papers mainly focused on linguistics. She strongly believes that YEAs journey will help her to contribute to changes in the community and establish a sustainable basis for her future plans.

Ziya is studying Business Administration at ADA University. He’s pursuing a career in the Finance field, and he’s very ambitious in extracurricular activities. He loves networking with people, since everyone has different lives and points of view, Ziya enjoys discussing and sharing knowledge with one another. He’s sure that the YEAs program will be great for individuals to get acquainted with awesome people and gain good friends for the future.

Zarrin has been a PR intern at the Youth Development and Career Center (GİKM) and studied one year of first aid at the Red Crescent Society. The main field of interest is Journalism. Participated in several camps. Took an active part in The State Committee on Family, Women and Children issues conducted by USAID and social exercises dedicated to the elimination of gender-based violence conducted by the United Nations. Took an active part in the training to improve their guiding skills in the direction of the promotion of the historical and cultural monuments of Azerbaijan. Her main goal is to build a network of help and assistance to reach the youth of the region.

Zarifa is a FLEX(Future Leaders Exchange) alumna of 2022 and a finalist of AYEP(Azerbaijani youth environmental program) 2022. Additionally, Zarifa was a student at Harvard summer school in 2022. She currently specializes in computer science in the United States, residing southwest Michigan. She spends her free time drawing, learning languages, programming, and volunteering.

VusalaI was born in the Gabala district. She graduated from Nohurgishlag village secondary school with a gold medal and graduated from the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan with a bachelor’s degree in jurisprudence with a presidential scholarship and honours. In 2022, she was one of the masters who graduated with the highest GPA in administrative law, administrative process, and economic and financial law at Baku State University.Vusala has been working as a leading consultant in the “Legal, human resources, and documentation” department of Seaside Boulevard Administration for 4 years. Safiyya is a 3rd-year student at Atatürk University, Turkey, majoring in Business Administration. She actively participates in projects implemented by the European Union and Erasmus+. She is interested in project management, start-ups, and innovation. Safiyya has more than 4 years of project management experience and is currently the Committee Director’s Project Assistant at AEGEE-Europe (European Students’ Forum). She shares information about opportunities and international projects with young people on social networks.

Saadat, a 22-year-old young community leader, is currently working as a Youth Ambassador for SDG5. She is HeForShe(the global gender equality movement) program manager for Azerbaijan. In addition, she is also engaged in training and facilitation. She loves working with young people and contributing to the goals of Sustainable Development Goals. She believes in the power of young people to create a better world.

Rovshan Aghasizade is studying economics at LSU University. During his studies at the university, he participates in social events and many volunteer activities, and participates in the organization of projects and training related to youth development. Ravana is a passionate young professional who has been involved in voluntary based activities so as to contribute to her society to make a positive change. She graduated from the Azerbaijan University of Languages, SABAH groups in the field of education in 2021. As an educator, her main purpose is to create educational opportunities and possibilities to help those in need of education. Therefore, she has launched a great number of voluntary projects to enhance the language skills of the children living in rural areas of Azerbaijan. Rasul is an ambitious, driven, and skilful high school student. He is an enthusiastic learner eager to contribute to the Young European Ambassadors initiative with his knowledge as a 16-year-old entrepreneur. Rasul pushes beyond his boundaries to contribute to a fostering society in his country by sharing his experience and running workshops about Teenpreneurship, Study Abroad, and Time Management. He supposes this is the right momentum to discover European values in more detail and exchange with his peers from diverse cultural backgrounds.
