Mariam Japaridze

Mariam is studying for a Bachelor of International Relations at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and is currently on her exchange semester at the University of Tartu in Estonia, which is ranked amongst the best 1.2% of universities in the world. She is also a project coordinator at “GLOW Georgia” and a National Committee Member at the European Youth Parliament-Georgia. Having been a civic activist since 2016, she has participated in various local and international conferences and trainings, which have helped develop her professional skills, preparing her for an opportunity such as the YEA initiative.

Anastasia Guledani

Anastasia studied A-level Politics, German and History in the United Kingdom, and is currently a coordinator of the Europe, Middle East, and Africa Junior Branch of CISV International. She has also created a Facebook platform designed to help and support Georgian students intending/wanting to study abroad. She is starting her LLB studies at IE Universidad (IE University), in Spain, in September and hopes it is the next step in her lifelong goal to change the world for the better.

Barbare Janjalashvili

Barbare is studying for a Bachelor of International Relations and Politics (in the English sector) at the International Black Sea University and is also actively involved in non-formal education events. In 2019, she was chosen as a participant at the CENN green camp, which sparked her interest in volunteering. In 2021, she received a scholarship to carry out a short-term volunteering service in Gaziantep, Turkey. As an ESC volunteer, she spent two months in the summer of 2021 at GEGED, a volunteering centre that mainly focuses on improving the lives of disadvantaged local youth and refugees from Syria. Mariam is a secondary school student and has been an active volunteer since July 2020. She has done so well in volunteering that she holds the National Award for Volunteering – ‘’The Best Volunteer of the Year 2020’’. She is actively engaged in educational activities, enriching short-term projects and training in various fields. Victoria Arakelyan

Victoria is a secondary school student, interested in International Relations and Global Affairs. She is the president of the ‘Young Diplomats Club’ at her school and the founder of the ‘Language Speaking Club’, designed to break language barriers and increase verbal confidence. She speaks five languages herself: Russian, Georgian, English, Armenian and German, and is interested in progressing the education of others. She believes that this type of education is the key to future success.

Eti is actively involved in non-formal educational activities and holds a Cambridge Assessment certificate in English. She is also involved in local NGO activities, which consist of attending/conducting training sessions on social topics. She also participated in the ‘Modeling of European Parliament 2019’ local NGO (European Academic Center) project, held a delegate’s status within the project, and went to France, in Strasbourg to the European Parliament and Council of Europe on a study visit. Eti has been involved in ‘Modelling of European Parliament’ for three years and attends this project as a delegate and coach of the ‘Human Rights and Legal Affairs’ committee.

Anna has just graduated from her secondary school where she held the position of “Chair of School Self-Government”. She has been volunteering for many years, and in 2019 she participated in the ‘Multilateral Youth Exchange’ in Ukraine.
