Salome Margvelashvili

  • Country of origin: Georgia
  • Current residence: Georgia, Tbilisi

I am a fourth year student of international relations. Academically, I am very interested in conflict studies and conflict transformation mechanisms. additionally, I believe young people have most of the power in the country which can play a huge role in growing democratic processes for the better future. Therefore, I am trying hard to be an active citizen. For two years time I have been volunteering in two local NGOs and working with the children affected by the war of 2008 in Georgia. I am currently a representative of two international organisations in my country and conducting different activities concerning SDG goals. Other than civil activism, I am a mountain climbing lover. Planning to climb up to Mkinvartsveri (5050m above sea level) by summer 2020.
