Alexander is studying Political Science at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. He was a young expert at the German Federal organisation – EVZ Foundation and was involved in the organisation of the international conference – Power of Youth in Tbilisi, Georgia. He actively participates in various projects, training, and conferences, and often takes part in debates. He was also a member of several non-governmental organisations and he has experience in cooperation and volunteering with them.

Aleksandre Pipia

Aleksandre is an International Law student at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University in Georgia and an Economic and Social Administration student at Université de Strasbourg (Strasbourg University) in France. He speaks 7 languages which he learned on his own, and he has been volunteering since 2016 to improve conditions in his community, notably regarding elections and ecological improvements. He is also the author of scientific work about some specialities of Georgian law and European law. Aleksandre believes that the remarque le principle of the European Union is tolerance and acceptance.

Luka is studying for a Bachelor in International Relations at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. He has been actively engaged in volunteering since 2016, and since then, he has participated in a variety of major and minor projects and training. In 2021, Luka spent his summer semester at Kadir Has Üniversitesi (Kadir Has University), through the Erasmus+ programme. He hopes to have a positive impact on his community, therefore at the beginning of the year, he and his friends founded a non-governmental organisation called the Question Mark Movement which aims to strengthen liberal values in Georgian society.

Sopiko Bzarashvili

Sopiko holds a Bachelor degree in International Relations with a focus on Europe and the Middle East, and is the winner of the full scholarship for a Master’s programme in Political Science at İstanbul Üniversitesi (Istanbul University). During her undergraduate studies in Tbilisi, she volunteered at the Georgian National Library, the Georgian Sustainable Development Association youth non-governmental organisation and the Civic Education Teachers Forum. Akaki Balanchivadze

Akaki is studying for a Bachelor in International Relations at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. He chose the path of Social and Political Sciences because he has always been interested in the ever-changing interactions of states and non-governmental organizations, particularly within the topics of politics and economics. Ana Kvekveskiri

Ana is studying at the Faculty of Management of Kutaisi International University (KIU). She has participated in various competitions and trainings and is also a volunteer in one of many Georgian organisations. Andro Kvijinadze

Andro is studying for a Bachelor in International Relations at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and is also a member of the National Committee at the European Youth Parliament – Georgia, where he works as part of the Public Relations and Communications Department. He has been actively involved in volunteering since 2018 and has also been promoting European values with each extracurricular activity he does, including organising different events with a focus on EU values. Due to his passion for EU values and their promotion, he believes the YEA initiative to be the perfect opportunity for him to continue spreading his knowledge and beliefs in EU values across Georgia.

Ana Dzirkvadze

Ana graduated with a Bachelor degree in International Relations, and during her studies, she has completed an Erasmus+ exchange programme at the Uniwersytet Łódzki (University of Lodz), Poland. She has participated in various international conferences and training courses and has worked in the NGO sector since 2018. In 2020, she worked as a European Solidarity Corps volunteer for a non-governmental youth organization in Hagen, Germany, and she is currently working at the German Embassy in Tbilisi.

Teimuraz Khojashvili

Teimuraz is a secondary school student in Tbilisi. In future, he would like to become a politician and change the world for the better. He is keen to work hard to develop his country and achieve his goals in the process. Mariam Gvilava

Mariam graduated from the Georgian Institute of Public Affairs (GIPA), School of Law and Politics, with a Bachelor of Law. She has worked for the USAID-Crystal Fund Joint Project – Supporting Youth and Women Entrepreneurs, and she is currently working at the Paine Stevens Law Firm. To maintain a good work-life balance, she does yoga and meditates. She believes that personal growth affects not only oneself but also the surrounding environment, which is why she is confident that as a YEA she will have an opportunity to build a better future for her society.

Sofiko Saltkhutsishvili

Sofiko is studying for a Bachelor in International Relations at the International Black Sea University. She has extensive experience as a volunteer in several projects and NGOs and is currently participating in the ‘Empowering Young Leaders in the Time of the Pandemic’ project funded by The German Marshall Fund of the United States. She is excited about the opportunities the YEA initiative will bring and the skills it will help develop.

Dea Margvelashvili

Dea is studying for a Bachelor of Philosophy and Political Science at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. As part of her course, she studied at Uniwersytet Jagielloński (Jagiellonian University) in Poland as an Erasmus+ exchange student.  Outside her studies, she used to write articles for the Media Development Organization that aims to combat the spread of disinformation in Georgia. Dea is interested in learning new languages as she believes they give you a better understanding of the historical backgrounds of various cultures.

Gvantsa Kvelashvili

Gvantsa is a secondary school student and an active volunteer for various NGOs. She strives to make a positive impact on her community, having already organised a variety of youth-oriented conferences and projects focused on the social and educational fields. Aside from that, she is also an environmental project coordinator at Youth For Change as well as a certified fact-checker. Writing is one of her passions, and she has won a number of essay contests. Raising awareness of EU-related topics to help develop her region’s future for the better is one of her main objectives, which she hopes to achieve through being a part of the YEA initiative.

Luka Tughushi

Luka is currently studying Political Science at Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University. He is also interested in International Relations and is actively trying to promote equality in his country. He is also involved in civic life and is currently a volunteer team leader at the Young Leaders International Academy. Ana Kuprava

Ana is a secondary school student and has been an active volunteer since August 2020. She holds a national award for ‘The Best Volunteer of the Year 2020’ in the social field for those under 18. She is now a volunteer coordinator at ‘Helping Hand’, as well as a volunteer at MAC Georgia and Youth for Change. She was a volunteer fact-checker at the ‘Volunteer Hub’ and an organiser of the ‘World Clean-up Day’ by ‘Let’s Do It Georgia’. Ana is also a camp leader at the ICSU, and a founder of the EQUALITY and UNIVERSE clubs at her school. She is very interested in civic activism and wants to share European values with her community.
