Barbare is studying for a Bachelor of International Relations and Politics (in the English sector) at the International Black Sea University and is also actively involved in non-formal education events. In 2019, she was chosen as a participant at the CENN green camp, which sparked her interest in volunteering. In 2021, she received a scholarship to carry out a short-term volunteering service in Gaziantep, Turkey. As an ESC volunteer, she spent two months in the summer of 2021 at GEGED, a volunteering centre that mainly focuses on improving the lives of disadvantaged local youth and refugees from Syria. She is excited about the YEA initiative as it will give her a new opportunity to help the world grow and improve.
