The New School in Tbilisi, Georgia, with the support of the European Union and the International Baccalaureate, announces a call for applications for the European School for Eastern Partnership Scholarship Programme for the academic year 2023/2024.

Students from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Republic of Moldova and Ukraine, aged 16-17, as of September 1, 2023, are eligible to apply.

Up to 20 students will be selected as a result of the competition to receive a full scholarship for the European Diploma Programme of the International Baccalaureate (IB).

The deadline for submitting applications is 16 March 2023.

Funded by the European Union (EU), the Eastern Partnership European School Programme aims at promoting secondary education opportunities for students from the six EU Eastern Partnership countries. Since the launch of the scholarship programme in 2018, 145 students from all six Eastern European countries have received the EU-funded full 2-year scholarship to study on the IB Diploma Programme. By 2022, a total of 105 students from three cohorts, 72 girls and 33 boys, had graduated from the European School with the IB Diploma, pursuing careers in a wide range of areas such as Economics, Biochemical Engineering, Physics, Social Sciences, Arts and Culture, Communications and Media, International Relations and Global Affairs, Medicine, Law, Liberal Arts and Computer Sciences.

A new building for the European Eastern Partnership School at Lisi Lake, near Tbilisi, is currently under construction and will open its doors to students in September 2024.
