Grants for civil society organisations in Moldova to establish social services for children with severe disabilities

Moldovan civil society organisations with experience in developing and providing social services are invited to participate in an EU-funded grant competition to establish ‘Community House’ type social services for children with severe disabilities.

Thanks to this initiative, children with severe disabilities who are currently in residential care facilities will gain access to community-based services that provide an individualised approach, living conditions as close as possible to a family environment, and broader opportunities for social integration.

The successful candidate should establish at least four new social services and transfer at least 20 children from residential institutions to high-quality community-based services created through grants awarded under this call for proposals. The grant amount is €560,000.

The deadline for applications is 3 August.

This funding opportunity is part of the project ‘Stronger Civil Society, Safer Childhoods: Supporting Moldova’s Child Care Transformation’. The project is funded by the European Union and is co-funded and implemented by the organisations Keystone Moldova, CCF Moldova – Child, Community, Family, and Partnerships for Every Child.
