European Solidarity Corps: Volunteering with children in Swedish community  in  Finland for Ukrainians and Belarusians

The small town of Nykarleby in western Finland will host two volunteers from two different countries, including Belarus and Ukraine, for about five months in the first half of 2023.

The volunteer will work with children in kindergarten, provide extra-curricular activities for school children, and communicate with young people. These activities will be organised according to the profile of the volunteer.

He or she will also create and run workshops on solidarity and multiculturalism in the schools in the municipality.

Nykarleby is home to Finland’s Swedish-speaking minority, so the volunteer will have the opportunity to learn Swedish.

The host organisation will cover the travel costs and organise and pay for accommodation in their own room with a shared kitchen in the hostel. The volunteer will have free lunch on weekdays and receive money for food (€138 per month) and pocket money (€152 per month).

The deadline for applications is 30 October.
