European Investment Bank hiring for two positions in Kyiv

The European Investment Bank (EIB) is hiring for two positions in Kyiv – Local Agent – Banker and Local Agent – Energy Specialist.

The main responsibilities of the Local Agent – Banker will include preparing, evaluating, structuring, and supporting EIB loan and guarantee operations in Ukraine. The role involves collaborating with government agencies, companies, financial institutions, and other partners; conducting financial analysis; assessing credit risks; participating in negotiations; and monitoring project implementation.

Key requirements include a college degree in finance, economics, or business; at least five years of relevant professional experience; knowledge of financial analysis and credit risk; and excellent command of English and Ukrainian.

The deadline for applications is 23 August, 2026.

The position of ‘Local Agent – Energy Specialist’ involves participating in the preparation, evaluation, implementation, and monitoring of energy projects in Ukraine and the Eastern Partnership countries. The work will cover projects in areas of electricity transmission and distribution, renewable energy, energy storage, and energy efficiency. Responsibilities will include technical, social, and environmental analysis of projects; monitoring procurement and implementation; providing technical assistance; and collaborating with government agencies, international financial institutions, and other partners.

Key requirements include a university degree in a relevant technical field, at least five years of experience in planning and implementing energy projects, strong analytical and communication skills, and excellent command of Ukrainian and English.

The deadline for applications is 31 July, 2026.

Both positions are open to Ukrainian citizens. The three-year contract involves full-time employment at the EIB office in Kyiv and may involve travel within Ukraine and to the EIB headquarters in Luxembourg.
