This factsheet summarises the state of relations between the EU and Georgia at the time of the European Commission’s announcement of the 2024 Enlargement Package.
The document presents the timeline of the country’s EU accession process, which is now de-facto halted, and the EU’s broad support for Georgia. In particular, it highlights the support provided through the Neighbourhood Development and Cooperation
Instrument-Global Europe (NDICI-GE) and Economic and Investment Plan (EIP) for the Eastern Partnership. It also provides data on foreign and security policy co-operation and trade relations between the EU and Georgia.
