Moldova: School in Dubasari district opens after energy repairs

The students and teachers of a secondary school in Holercani village, Dubasari district, will  benefit from energy efficiency measures implemented with EU financial support.

The opening of the renovated school took place this week, in the context of European Sustainable Energy Week 2022 and European Climate Diplomacy Week. Moldovan President Maia Sandu attended the ceremony.

The total cost of the energy efficiency improvement works is approximately €958,000, of which €930,000 was provided by the EU as a non-repayable grant and €28,000 as a local contribution.

The activities took place within the EU project ‘Building Water and Sanitation Infrastructure and Energy Efficiency in Public Buildings’, implemented by GIZ Moldova in partnership with the Moldovan Ministry of Infrastructure and Regional Development.
