Mahammad Nahmadov

Mahammad is an Azerbaijani student, researcher, and educator. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from “ADA”Universiteti (“ADA” University), Azerbaijan. Currently, he is pursuing his Master’s degree in Data and Computer Science at Heidelberg University, Germany, as a DAAD Scholar. His academic journey features impactful research and teaching experiences at ADA University and Koç University. As a Young European Ambassador, he aims to delve into his research areas, with a specific focus on Artificial Intelligence, exploring its development within the EU and exchanging ideas with fellow Ambassadors.

Lia Sophie Hamel

  • Current residence: Sweden
Lia is studying Physical Geography and Ecosystem Science at Lund University in Sweden. She has years of experience in youth work and volunteering for environmental organisations. Currently, Lia is active in the corporate relations committee of her university and represents Amnesty International Lund in the student council. Lia is particularly interested in international relations, LGBTQ rights, and sustainable development. She looks forward to applying her experiences to her new role as a Young European Ambassador. 

Claudia Klos

Claudia is a Franco-Polish student, currently working towards a joint Master’s degree in European Studies at Sciences Po Strasbourg and the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. Her bicultural background led to her vested interest for the European Union, that she deems as a political tool that is necessary in order to face unprecedented Global challenges, precisely because it promotes “[Unity] in diversity”. Alexandre Foskett

Alexandre Foskett is a Master’s degree student at the Sciences Po School of Public Affairs, specialising in security and defense issues as well as economics. He has experience in both the public and private sectors, having worked for the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Kyiv, and for Nexans, an industrial firm in Paris.

Simon Proksch

  • Current residence: Austria
Simon is currently studying Law & Economics at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. As a dedicated individual, he actively participates in multiple NGOs, demonstrating strong organisational skills in coordinating large-scale events. His passion for law and diplomacy is evident, and he has notably received an award for outstanding contribution at the 22nd Model European Parliament of Austria. Fluent in five languages—German, Czech, English, Spanish, and Russian—he possesses a diverse linguistic proficiency. Simon looks forward to utilising his skill set to advance the mission of the Young European Ambassadors’ initiative.

Pari Abbasli

Pari is a journalist based in Prague known for her work as a podcast host, art and journalism blogger. She has been featured in media platforms such as “Əkinçi” (Akinchi), Femmekan, Trilogy News, Facemark, Çağdaşçılar (Chaghdashchilar) and has contributed to the Radio of Baku State University. Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Journalism, Media, and Globalization at Aarhus University and the Danish School of Media and Journalism in Denmark, as well as at Charles University in Czech Republic, as an Erasmus Mundus scholarship recipient. Harry Trewhitt

Harry is currently studying A-Levels in Political Studies, Geography and Sociology. He recently completed work experience with his local MP at Westminster (UK Houses of Parliament). Harry is passionate about his role as a Young European Ambassador and the connections he can make with other Ambassadors to contribute to a Global Community. He also believes he can develop new valuable skills and create an impact in the world. In his spare time he is learning Spanish and is also keen to pursue voluntary projects abroad that focus on community regeneration and environmental protection. 

Charlie Allen

Charlie is a recent graduate of Spanish and Portuguese Studies from Queen’s University Belfast in Northern Ireland and is passionate for promoting human rights and democracy, within international contexts and post-conflict societies. He currently works within the charity sector, supporting people with sight loss throughout the UK. Additionally, he regularly contributes as an Editor and Content Creator to EU&U, a youth-led organisation bringing news from across Europe to citizens through social media. Charlie hopes his enthusiasm for multicultural connections will help to amplify his understanding of the Eastern Partnership countries.

Artur Podsokha

Artur is from Kharkiv, Ukraine. Currently, he is studying Politics, Sociology, and East European Studies at the School of Slavonic and Eastern European Studies at University College London. Artur is passionate about politics and enjoys discovering new things all the time. He is fluent in four languages and has recently started learning Hungarian. Over the past two years, Artur has been a part of the UCL Ukrainian Society committee, where he and his team promote Ukrainian culture by organising various events such as talks with politicians, workshops, and Q&A sessions with cultural influencers, and fundraisers that support Ukrainian people and the Ukrainian army.

Yeva Zborovska

Yeva is currently completing her secondary school studies and is looking forward to improving the standard of living in her country better in the near future. Since childhood, she has understood the problems of injustice and discrimination. Now Yeva is a part of various organisations and projects that advocate for world peace and equal rights for all. Vladlen speaks French, Czech, English, and Ukrainian. He has a passion for the Eurovision Song Contest and loves listening to music from different cultures. Originally from Kyiv, Vladlen is an optimistic person who looks forward to the future. He is currently studying international law in hopes of one day working to bridge connections between people of diverse backgrounds. Sofiia Yevchenko

Sofiia is a civil activist and volunteer in the fields of human rights and gender equality. With a background in diplomacy, communication, team-building, and project management, Sofiia is poised to contribute actively to raising awareness about the European Union and its opportunities. Her experiences at the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine and NGO “Women’s League” highlight her commitment to fostering positive change. Eager to engage in vibrant communication and bridge-building, Sofiia is dedicated to contributing to a better future for young people across Europe and its partner countries.

Tetiana is completing her exchange year on the “Future Leaders Exchange Program” acquiring an understanding of different cultures. She is actively involved in theatre and public speaking. Her passion is travelling, so she often visits other cities or countries to explore new places and meet interesting people. She is also fond of learning languages and reading books. Valentyna is a vibrant Young European Ambassador with a passion for global change. Holding a degree in Business Administration she is not only interested in Global Trade, but also thrives on learning about possible solutions for global issues. Her excitement for new challenges and commitment to making a positive impact led her to co-found a small NGO dedicated to youth development and environmental improvement. One of her dreams is to propel Ukraine towards EU integration and overall development. This website is managed by the EU-funded Regional Communication Programme for the Eastern Neighbourhood ('EU NEIGHBOURS east’), which complements and supports the communication of the Delegations of the European Union in the Eastern partner countries, and works under the guidance of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, and the European External Action Service. EU NEIGHBOURS east is implemented by a GOPA PACE-led consortium. It is part of the larger Neighbourhood Communication Programme (2020-2024) for the EU's Eastern and Southern Neighbourhood, which also includes 'EU NEIGHBOURS south’ project that runs the EU Neighbours portal.
