YEAs in Azerbaijan: Participating in ‘Eurovillage’, Europe Day

The European Union organised “Eurovillage” on May 14 on the Seaside Boulevard giving the public an exciting opportunity to learn more about the European Union: its values, and activities, including the long-term cooperation and partnership with Azerbaijan. The main purpose of YEAs’ participation in this event was to raise awareness on YEAs network in Azerbaijan and celebrate Europe Day with EU Ambassadors. During Eurovillage, there was a special stand of Young European Ambassadors, and thousands of people visited here and won various presents based on quick quiz questions. During the event there were many activities in parallel conducted by YEAs, Leyla Taghiyeva sang songs at the opening ceremony of the Eurovillage. Moreover, YEAs organised a quiz for the participants and rewarded the winners with various promo products. Additionally, the local media channels of Azerbaijan interviewed YEAs about their opinion on Europe day celebrations and EU’s activities in Azerbaijan. During this event, YEAs managed to reach more than 4,000 people at the YEAs stand and at the stage during the quiz.
