How the EU supports startups: Venture Capital 101


On April 11, the Young European Ambassadors (YEAs) in Azerbaijan, in collaboration with SABAH.fund, organised an introductory session at the YEAs Office in Baku. The session focused on the fundamentals of venture capital, startup growth, and innovation ecosystems. Through presentations and interactive discussions, participants explored how investment supports entrepreneurship and examined the role of the European Union in fostering startup development, including initiatives such as EU4Business. The event created a practical learning environment for young people interested in business and innovation.

Results Achieved:

  • Enhanced knowledge: Increased understanding of venture capital and startup funding mechanisms.
  • Encouraged entrepreneurship: Inspired interest in innovation-driven careers and entrepreneurial thinking.
