The Public Interest Journalism Lab, in partnership with the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom, co-funded by the European Union, has announced its second call for scholarship applications for independent regional media outlets and journalists in 2026.
The scholarship programme is part of the ‘Voices of Ukraine’ project, which is part of the SAFE programme and is coordinated by the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom.
The call offers two types of scholarships: journalists can apply for €600 scholarships for four months, and editorial offices can apply for €900 scholarships for five months.
The call is open to journalists, editorial offices and independent media that have at least two years of experience in the Ukrainian media market, are in a crisis, work or have relocated from regions most affected by the war, remain in Ukraine and create important content.
The deadline for applications is 13 June. To apply, please fill out this online form.
