The Energy Community Secretariat, co-chaired by the European Commission, is hiring the Head of its Renewables Unit.
The successful candidate will lead the Secretariat’s work on renewable energy policy development and implementation, coordinate its activities related to renewable energy deployment, analyse, propose and guide the adoption of new renewable energy acquis within the Energy Community framework, and engage with EU institutions, donors, and other partners.
The candidate should be a citizen of an EU Member State or of any Contracting Party to the Treaty (including Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine), have a University degree in economics, law, engineering, or another relevant field, a minimum of seven years of professional experience in the energy sector, including at least five years in the renewable energy field, and excellent command of English.
The duty station is in Vienna, Austria.
For this position, the Energy Community Secretariat offers a tax-exempted salary of €8,040 and a large package of benefits.
The final remuneration will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and outcome of the recruitment process.
