Schools from Moldova and Ukraine invited to take part in ‘Your Europe, Your Say!’ European youth event in March 2023

Your Europe, Your Say! (YEYS!) will run its 14th edition this year, returning to in-person format after three years. This year’s event is called ‘Youth Democracy Dialogues’, and will take place between 23 and 24 March 2023.

Given that the event comes after a year when Russia attacked Ukraine and Europe faced unpredictable social and economic challenges leading to systemic change, this year’s ‘YEYS!’ will focus on how to raise awareness of democratic values while encouraging critical thinking, youth empowerment and participation.

During the event, students will take part in a series of workshops and interactive activities to develop recommendations that will be presented to European institutions and senior European politicians and decision-makers.

Participant registration is ongoing and schools from all EU Member States and from candidate countries, including Moldova and Ukraine, can apply to participate. Secondary school teachers who teach students aged 16-18 are invited to submit an application to participate in the ‘YEYS!’ event in 2023.

The deadline for applications is 30 November. Schools wishing to take part are required to complete the application on the EESC’s website.
