
On 9 September, Biodiversa+, a biodiversity partnership co-funded by the European Commission, announced a new research call to support innovative research on the restoration of ecosystem functioning, integrity and connectivity.
This call will address restoration efforts for biodiversity in all types of ecosystems and habitats, in all regions of the world, and will support high-quality research projects with holistic, systemic, and integrated approaches.
The call proposal should cover one or more of the three important topics that represent key challenges in nature restoration:
The total budget of the call is around €40 million.
To be eligible, transnational research consortia must be composed of eligible research partners from a minimum of three different countries financially participating in the call, including at least two different EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries. Moldova is on the list of countries which contributed financially to this research call.
The deadline for applications is 7 November.
