The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has announced a call for proposals with funding from the European Union Delegation in Georgia, as part of its ‘Inclusive Access to Markets’(IA2M) project.
The Innovation Challenge Call (ICC) seeks to identify and co-finance up to 10 service sector small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Georgia. The goal is to support SMEs that are developing, testing, or applying innovative and/or underutilised approaches to overcome key barriers to exporting to the EU and European countries’ markets.
Selected SMEs will receive financial support to pilot and scale their ideas, applying underused business strategies, tools, and methods. This initiative aims to generate practical insights and replicable models that will ultimately strengthen the broader SME export ecosystem in Georgia.
More broadly, the call aims to promote economic growth, attract investments, create jobs, stimulate innovation within the country, and strengthen the global competitiveness of the private sector, thereby benefiting the broader Georgian economy.
The Innovation prize size is GEL 50,000 (per SME).
To be eligible for this call, the applicant must be a registered Small or Medium-sized Enterprise (SME) in Georgia (excluding individual entrepreneurs) that has been operating for at least one year before the application submission date. The applicant SME must provide services within the territory of Georgia.
The deadline for applications is 16 April 2026.
