European Cine Tour launched in Georgia – free screenings starts at Europe Day in Batumi

A day before Europe Day in Batumi, the EU Delegation to Georgia launched its new initiative – the European Cine Tour.

The European Cine Tour opens in Batumi on 10 July with two special screenings.

• 17:00 – Flow, the award-winning Latvian animated film that has received numerous international accolades, including the Academy Award and the Golden Globe. Suitable for all audiences. Watch the trailer.
• 19:00 – Mother and Daughter, or the Night Is Never Complete, a documentary by Lana Ghoghoberidze. Watch the trailer

Admission to all screenings is free. But those wanting to attend are invited to reserve seats in advance at this link.

In Batumi, the screenings will take place at Cavea Cinema, Grand Mall Batumi, 29 Sherif Khimshiashvili Street.

Following its launch in Batumi, the European Cine Tour will travel to various cities across Georgia. In September, cinephiles will enjoy a week-long programme in Tbilisi. The tour will conclude in Telavi in October, as part of the Europe Day celebrations.

Throughout the tour, audiences will have the opportunity to meet film directors and other members of the crews.

The European Cine Tour is held in partnership with the Cinema Art Centre Prometheus, the Contemporary Film Museum and Tbilisi International Festival of Literature.
