Grant competition for municipalities in Georgia for tourism development, cities and economic activation

GIZ Georgia, as part of the EU4ITD – Catalyst for Economic and Social Life (CESL) initiative funded by the European Union and the German government, announces a call for project ideas aiming to balance economic and social life in Georgia, reduce regional migration processes and develop regional centres.

The competition will fund regional projects, proposed by municipalities in Guria, Imereti, Kakheti, Racha-Lechkhumi, and Kvemo-Svaneti in three priority areas: urban recovery, tourism development and income generation/economic activation.

The minimum amount of each grant is 50,000 GEL. The maximum grant amount varies depending on the project area: it is GEL 800,000 for urban renewal and tourism development, and GEL 500,000 for generation/economic activation projects.

The deadline for applications is 30 June 2023.
