EU4Recovery: grant competition for youth exchanges in Ukraine

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has announced a grant competition for youth exchanges as part of the ‘VidNOVA:UA’ programme, aimed at engaging young people in community recovery, which is being implemented in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Ukraine and the All-Ukrainian Youth Centre.

More broadly, the call is launched as part of the ‘EU4Recovery’ programme, the flagship partnership between the EU and UNDP.

Support will be provided to four youth exchanges in partner communities in the Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions.

During the project, young people will be involved in the restoration and development of youth spaces, volunteering and the development of their communities. The programme includes practical, educational and cultural components, promoting civic engagement and social cohesion. Communities will receive support in creating and developing youth spaces and increasing youth participation in the recovery process.

The maximum budget for a project proposal should not exceed US$20,000.

Civil society and charitable organisations with experience in working with young people, community development and the implementation of socially significant projects are invited to apply.

The deadline for applications is 18 June.

The grant competition is organised with the support of UNDP in Ukraine and the governments of Denmark, the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Switzerland, and as part of EU-funded programme ‘EU4Recovery’, implemented by UNDP.
