The EU Delegation to Moldova invites school classes from across the Republic of Moldova to take part in an essay competition. The topic is ‘How can the European Union best uphold its democratic values in a world order increasingly challenged by autocratic tendencies?’
The competition was launched by the Authority for European Political Parties and European Political Foundations (APPF).
Participation is eligible in teams, at class level, under the guidance of 1-2 teachers. Students should be at least 16 years old.
The winning class will be invited to an official visit to one of the European Parliament’s locations (Brussels or Strasbourg) and will meet European leaders. The organisers will cover transport, accommodation, and daily allowance.
The Authority for European Political Parties and European Political Foundations is an independent body of the European Union tasked by law with carrying out registration and verification procedures, controlling compliance and – where necessary – imposing sanctions on European political parties and European political foundations.
The deadline for pre-registration is 30 November 2025. The deadline for essay submission is 31 December 2025.
