The ‘Culture Helps Solidarity’ project, implemented in Ukraine as part of the EU’s ‘Creative Europe’ programme, offers grants to cultural managers, artists and activists working with displaced people or veterans aiming to support their grant.

Support is provided in the form of a one-off payment of up to €1,200 (including tax, where applicable) per person. The funds may only be used for personal recovery (supporting mental health and well-being) and may not be directed towards third parties, organisational costs or project activities.

To be eligible for these grants, applicants should be:

  • Cultural managers, artists, or activists.
  • Above 18 years old.
  • Currently residing in Ukraine OR have relocated to an EU or another Creative Europe country after 24 February 2022.
  • Actively involved in the reintegration of veterans or the integration of people displaced by the war.
  • Experiencing war-related stress.

The deadline for applications is 18 May. To apply, please submit the online form in English or Ukrainian.

The ‘Culture Helps Solidarity’ project is co-financed by the EU’s Creative Europe programme and implemented by the European Cultural Foundation (Netherlands), Insha Osvita (Ukraine), zusa (Germany) and the VETERANKA (Ukraine).
