Culture Helps Solidarity: international collaboration grants for Ukrainian refugees’ integration through culture

The ‘Culture Helps Solidarity’ project, co-financed by the EU programme ‘Creative Europe’, offers grants for projects for Ukrainian refugees, created in cooperation with partners from Europe. 

Applicants can suggest, for example, a series of open lectures on mental health, weekly painting workshops, or a neighbourliness festival. Participants have the opportunity to receive a grant ranging from €20,000 (for partnerships between two organisations) to €30,000 (for partnerships between three or more organisations).

Grants may cover a wide range of expenses, including: project production; marketing and communication; rental and maintenance of studios and cultural spaces; IT, communication and production tools and materials; other necessary goods or services for the implementation of the project. Grant funds may also be used for transport costs, fees for experts, artists and performers, legal services, staff, and operating costs.

The call is open to cultural non-profit organisations that are actively involved in integrating displaced Ukrainians into new communities or re-integrating veterans through culture. The organisations should be officially registered in Ukraine, the EU, Iceland, Norway, Liechtenstein, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Moldova, Armenia, or Tunisia.

If you are applying in collaboration with three organisations, two of them can be registered in Ukraine and one in another Creative Europe country, or vice versa. Partnerships with organisations led by Ukrainians, whether in Ukraine or in exile, will be prioritised.

The deadline for applications is 31 March.
