Copernicus Masters competition: up to €10,000 for bright ideas on creative use of Earth Observation

The European Space Agency (ESA) launches the ESA Copernicus SpaceLeap Challenge competition seeking entries able to foster international Earth Observation (EO) market development for space-based information products and services.

The call is organised within Copernicus Masters, a flagship initiative of the EU and ESA to provide space infrastructure for environmental monitoring globally, particularly in Europe. Participants from outside Europe, in particular from the Eastern Partnership region (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, and Ukraine) are encouraged to apply.

The TOP 3 solutions will receive a cash prize worth €5,000 each. Copernicus Masters 2022 Overall Winner will receive the cash prize of €10,000.

The ESA Space LeapChallenge accepts proposals only from enterprises, scientific institutions, and individuals of legal adult age having a permanent residency, their headquarters or nationality in countries that have signed a Copernicus cooperation agreement on Copernicus data access and Earth observation data exchange.

The deadline for application is 11 July.
