Two new district hospitals will be built in Bălți and Cahul with financial support from the European Union

The European Investment Bank (EIB) will provide a grant of almost €0.5 million for feasibility studies, functional plan, tender documents and preliminary design of the two hospitals.

The EIB will focus its efforts on the construction of the hospital in Cahul and the Council of Europe Development Bank will contribute to the construction of the hospital in Bălți.

The new hospital in Cahul will expand the range of medical services available locally to more than 120,000 people, including treatment for cancer patients, such as chemotherapy.
