This week, the European Union Ambassador to Georgia, Pawel Herczyński, together with Ambassadors and diplomats from several EU Member States, travelled to Bolnisi as part of a joint Team Europe mission.
Bringing together the Ambassadors and diplomats from Austria, Denmark, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Romania, and Sweden, the mission highlighted how the EU-Georgia partnership translates into tangible impact on the ground: empowering young people, supporting local entrepreneurship, strengthening communities, and fostering sustainable development in Kvemo Kartli region.
“From the vibrant exchange of ideas with the youth to the ambitious spirit of entrepreneurs, we see a real impact of EU assistance,” Ambassador Herczyński said. “For 30 years, Team Europe has been standing with Georgia in good times and in bad times – and we will continue to do so in the future.”
The visit began at the historic Bolnisi Sioni Cathedral. Then, the delegation engaged with the civil society and media representatives.
At the Adult Education Centre (ALE Centre), Ambassadors held an open exchange with young people on education, employability, and the opportunities created through the EU support.
Diplomats also held a meeting with local entrepreneurs, showcasing how EU-backed initiatives are strengthening small businesses, creating jobs, and driving sustainable economic growth at the local level.
