
In 2024, transfers from Moldovans in European Union countries to relatives and families in Moldova amounted to more than €1 billion.
This information was shared on Facebook by the EU Delegation in Moldova. The Delegation refers to statistics from the National Bank of Moldova.
According to the data, the transfer from the EU is almost eight times higher than transfers from CIS countries, which totaled €130.98 million.
In 2016, this ratio was different: transfers from the EU amounted to €538 million, while transfers from the CIS amounted to €398 million.
