The EU Delegation to Moldova announced the completion of renovation work at the ‘Pro Familia’ Maternal Centre in Caușeni, Moldova.
Energy-efficient windows, a new heating system, and modern ceiling insulation – all these upgrades were made possible by a European Union investment of over one million lei.
According to a Facebook post published on 10 April, the building, constructed in the 1990s, needed these upgrades to meet modern comfort standards.
“The centre serves the entire country, providing shelter and assistance to victims of violence, human trafficking, and women facing difficult life situations,” the post says. “For the beneficiaries, a warm and well-lit space is not just a technical detail, but the first step toward a life of dignity.”
At the same time, improved energy efficiency will reduce utility bills, freeing up resources for support services.
