The United Nations Development Programme has published a handbook, ‘Case Law Collection from the European Court of Human Rights. 2024’, on how the European Court of Human Rights upholds individuals’ rights in data processing by public and private organisations.
This handbook presents key decisions from the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) on personal data protection. It includes up to 40 rulings from 2019 to 2023.
The publication aims to align Georgia’s legislation and practices with ECHR standards on data protection.
“Protecting personal data is key to safeguarding human rights,” says a Facebook post by UNDP in Georgia.
The handbook was developed with the support of the European Union and UNDP, in cooperation with the Personal Data Protection Service.
