The Young European Ambassadors (YEAs) is a non-political, voluntary communication and civic activism initiative, a network of proactive young people from the Eastern partner countries (EaP), the European Union and the United Kingdom, keen to connect, share and work together for a better future.

The YEAs’ initiative was launched by the European Commission in June 2016, when the first 100 young people were appointed as YEAs. Overall, from 2016 to 2025, more than 3,000 young people have benefited from the YEAs initiative. Covering 34 countries, the YEAs network stands as one of the largest international youth communication initiatives focused on promoting the EU and its partnership and cooperation with its Eastern neighbours, and strengthening the EU’s visibility.

To date, the YEAs have organised more than 3,000 public diplomacy and civic activism activities, reaching more than 190,000 people in person and more than 10.5 million online.
