On 11 June, the European Union Ambassador to Armenia, Vassilis Maragos, launched the Youth Advisory Council in Aparan, as part of the EU4Armenia initiative.
Aparan is a town in the Aparan Municipality of the Aragatston Province of Armenia, about 50 kilometers northwest of the capital Yerevan. It was proclaimed 2025 youth capital of Armenia.
“Because youth voices matter,” Vassilis Maragos wrote on X. “The future doesn’t come by itself, youth has to shape it and the EU and Armenia are here to help you.”
Earlier this year, the EU Delegation to Armenia launched a Youth Advisory Council in Yerevan, as part of the EU-funded project ‘Support in Cultural and Youth Activities’.
