ACT4PRESPA
აღწერა
'ACT4PRESPA' is a cross-border cultural heritage project dedicated to the protection, promotion, and sustainable valorisation of the cultural and natural heritage of the Prespa Lake region across North Macedonia, Greece, and Albania. The project addresses common environmental, social, and economic challenges by strengthening regional cooperation and supporting sustainable socio-economic development through culture and heritage preservation.
The action combines archaeological research, conservation activities, digital innovation, and public engagement to safeguard both tangible and intangible cultural heritage. Key interventions include the first underwater archaeological research activities in Prespa Lake, conservation works on the historic Saraj building in Resen and fresco paintings in St. Paraskevi church in Brajcino, as well as documentation and valorisation of local oral traditions, expressions, and cultural assets.
The project also promotes the use of digital technologies to improve public access to heritage through the development of an interactive 3D cultural heritage map and the digitalisation of cultural content. Through exhibitions, educational activities, networking events, and professional exchanges, 'ACT4PRESPA' aims to strengthen cultural awareness, encourage intercultural dialogue, and support long-term preservation and sustainable promotion of the Prespa region’s shared heritage.
