აღწერა
Independent, professional journalists need financially viable outlets and media outlets across this region face tremendous challenges. Some of these are due to global sectorial trends whereas others are region - and/or country specific. The Programme aims at taking a comprehensive approach to provide tailor-made support to improve the immediate and long-term financial viability of independent media outlets. This will include online and face-to-face trainings, on-the-job and individual mentoring, as well as tutoring to improve quality and develop new media products, whether editorial content or managerial solutions. Capacity building will also aim to enhance management, marketing skills as well as support to develop new revenue streams, increased understanding of audiences and make necessary technological investments. Furthermore, this intervention also supports content production, investigative journalism and reinforces peer-to-peer networking of media professionals. As dictated by demands and needs, emergency support actions will be offered. The Programme will also provide a knowledge management repository offering access to research studies and reports on media development activities relevant for the region’s stakeholders.
