New tutorial from EU4Independent Media: how to thrive on TikTok as media

The EU-funded project ‘EU4Independent Media’ (EU4IM) has launched a TikTok video tutorial/online course to help journalists effectively use TikTok to engage with younger audiences, particularly Gen Z.

The course explains how TikTok influences news consumption, how its algorithm works, and how to craft effective TikTok news content.

From this tutorial, you will also learn how to use keywords effectively in TikTok news content and how the language of TikTok differs from traditional news broadcasts.

The course is a 9-minute video conducted by Erika Marzano, audience development and social media journalist at Deutsche Welle.
