EU4Youth invites young people from Georgia and Armenia to participate in a regional ideathon

‘Transform challenges into opportunities’ is the title of a regional ideaton for green and social entrepreneurship organised by CENN in the framework of the EU4Youth SEED project. It will be held on 18–29 July. The goal of the ideathon is to encourage the youth of Georgia and Armenia to solve social and environmental problems in an entrepreneurial way.

Young people aged 15–29 who live in the following municipalities of Georgia can participate in the ideathon: Gori, Ninotsminda, Akhmeta, Sagarejo, Gurjaani, Oni, Ambrolauri, Lanchkhuti, Ozurgeti, Tkibuli, Zestafon and Chiatura. Participation is possible both individually and as a team. The maximum number of participants in a team is 5.

The winning participants will be financially supported so they can implement their idea.

The thematic categories for the business ideas presented in the ideathon are:

  • waste management;
  • climate change;
  • renewable energies;
  • climate-smart technologies in agriculture;
  • empowerment of NEET youth;
  • informal education of young people;
  • employment of young people.

The event includes three stages: (1) an entrepreneurial and environmental training module, (2) mentoring, and (3) a demo day. At the end of the meetings, the participants will have the opportunity to refine their business models with the help of the mentors invited and will receive practical advice from experts in the field. Registration for the ideathon is open until 12 July 2022.
