‘A letter to Europe’: EU Delegation in Ukraine launches Europe Day essay contest for youth


The EU Delegation to Ukraine invites young Ukrainians to take part in the Europe Day essay contest on the topic: ‘A letter to Europe’.

The call is open to Ukrainian students aged 16-22 who are currently studying at a secondary school, college, or university.

In their letters, the applicants could share their thoughts, hopes, and expectations – speak about Ukraine’s journey, their vision for the future, and common values.

The essay language is Ukrainian, length should be around 800-1000 words. AI-generated content or plagiarism will result in disqualification.

The deadline for applications is 30 April 2026.

Winners will be invited to a special Europe Day celebration in Kyiv in May, including an official award ceremony and the opportunity to meet diplomats from the EU Delegation and other high-level guests.
