The EU4Gender Equality Reform Helpdesk’s support for Moldova: August 2024 – February 2026

This document outlines how the EU4Gender Equality Reform Helpdesk project (Phase II), funded by
the European Union and implemented by NIRAS, has supported stakeholders in Moldova between
August 2024 and February 2026 to advance gender equality and women’s empowerment. The
Reform Helpdesk provides expert advice, capacity building, knowledge products, and support for
enhanced cooperation among governments, civil society and EU institutions to facilitate gender
mainstreaming in the planning and implementation of reforms, policies and legislative work. In these
ways, it strengthens capacities to integrate gender perspectives into public policies and reforms, and
empowers women’s rights and other civil society organisations to engage in evidence-based
dialogue with governments to advance gender equality.
