Eighty-two per cent of Ukrainians say their country has good relations with the European Union (21 points up since 2016), almost two-thirds (65%) support EU accession, and more than three-quarters (77%) believe membership would bring more advantages than disadvantages to Ukraine, according to the 2026 annual survey of opinion in Ukraine.
The survey was conducted in January-February 2026 and involved face-to-face interviews with a representative sample of 1,042 people across the country. The opinion polls have been carried out annually by the EUNEIGHBOURS east Programme in Ukraine and the other countries of the Eastern Partnership since 2016.
