This year, Europe Day in Armenia will be celebrated under the theme ‘EU-Armenia: Closer than Ever’. The European Union Delegation to Armenia and EU Ambassador Vassilis Maragos invite everyone to join the festivities.
“Europe Day is the symbol of peace, unity and readiness to create and preserve shared values. Closely cooperating with the European Union, Armenia is also committed to upholding and advancing these values,” reads the event announcement from the EU Delegation to Armenia
Each year, Europe Day celebrations are held in May in Yerevan and throughout Armenia’s regions.
Public celebrations in Yerevan will begin on 10 May at 16:30 in Freedom Square. The programme includes a concert programme, including a brass band of the Armenian State Pedagogical University, ‘Yerevan voices’ and ‘Goharner’ folk choirs. The EU Member States and EU-funded projects will have their own stands.
On 16 May at 19:00, Gyumri’s Theatre Square will come alive with a festive concert marking Europe Day. The evening will feature live performances by Aram MP3, PARG, and Srbuk.
