Ukraine: EU project helps to create online learning platform

On 25 March, the Ukrainian Research and Academic Network (URAN), the country’s national research and education network (NREN), presented its two remote communications services to researchers and educators. One of them, eduMEET, was deployed with the support of the EU-funded EaPConnect project.

The web-based, secure online video-conferencing service eduMEET was developed by the NREN community and deployed in Ukraine this March, with the support of the EU-funded GÉANT and Up2U project, as well as EaPConnect.

The second tool, developed by URAN, is the WebClass video-conferencing platform, which is based on BigBlueButton, an easy-to-use open-source software.
