Ukraine adopts National Programme for the Adoption of EU acquis

On 10 April, the Ukrainian government adopted the National Programme for the Adoption of the EU acquis (NPAA).

The EU Delegation to Ukraine said on Facebook today that the NPAA was developed thanks to EU support: Ukraine2EU experts contributed to the development of the NPAA from the launch of the process, providing methodological support, contributing to content drafting, and reviewing inputs from line ministries.

The State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine is actively involved in European integration processes and has been designated as the lead implementing body of NPAA.

The national programme has been drawn up on the basis of screening reports and benchmarks (criteria) set by the EU, and is structured in line with the negotiation clusters and chapters. The Ukrainian lawmakers will need to harmonise around 1,850 tasks over 1,600 EU acts.
