Georgia: more than 8,000 people joined Europe Day celebrations in Batumi


More than 8,000 people joined Europe Day celebrations in Batumi, organised by the EU Delegation to Georgia.

The celebrations took place on 11 July, gathering representatives of EU Member States, EU-funded projects, Georgian partners, cultural performers, and the wider public to mark over 30 years of partnership between the EU and Georgia.

“A heartfelt thank you to all participants and guests who joined us in Batumi to celebrate Europe Day!” EU Delegation posted on Facebook.

The programme includes live performances, interactive country stands from EU Member States, a gastronomy fair, a live podcast, a VR journey, quizzes, a knowledge wheel, a photography workshop, a green corner, performances by talented young local students, children’s theatre and many more activities throughout the day.
